“Where the Word is preached, the lost are found, and the saved are strengthened.”
Pilgrim Rest has been a place where Memphis has come to hear the Word preached faithfully for over 128 years. Each Sunday, Pastor Rev. Dr. Samuel Graves brings a message straight from Scripture — bold, relevant, and full of hope.
Join us this Sunday as we continue our series Walking by Faith — a study through the lives of the great cloud of witnesses in Hebrews 11.

“Dear Friends and Fellow Pilgrims,”
It is my great joy to welcome you to Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church — a congregation with deep roots and a living faith. For 128 years, this church has stood on this corner of Memphis as a witness to the grace of God and the power of the gospel.
Whether you are returning to faith after a long absence, searching for a church home, or simply curious about what we believe — you are welcome here. There are no perfect people at Pilgrim Rest. There is only a perfect Savior, and a community of pilgrims who are walking toward Him together.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe Jesus Christ is Lord. We believe the Holy Spirit is alive and active in the life of every believer. And we believe the local church is God’s chosen instrument for reaching the world.
Come worship with us. Bring your questions, your doubts, your grief, and your joy. There is room for all of it here.
— Pastor Graves
