As human beings, we crave connection and belonging. It's a fundamental need that drives us to seek out relationships with others, both human and divine. When it comes to our relationship with God, this need for connection is just as important.

God desires a relationship with each of us, and through prayer, worship, and reading the Bible, we can deepen our connection with Him. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, we can feel distant or disconnected from God. Perhaps life's challenges or distractions have pulled us away, or maybe we feel like we've hit a spiritual plateau.

When we find ourselves in this place, it's important to remember that God is always present, always waiting for us to turn back to Him. As we seek to strengthen our relationship with God, we can take comfort in the words of James 4:8: "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."

One way we can draw near to God is by setting aside intentional time each day to connect with Him. This can look different for everyone - perhaps it's spending time in prayer or meditation, reading scripture, or worshiping through music or art. Whatever it is that helps you feel closer to God, make it a priority in your daily routine.

Another way we can deepen our relationship with God is by seeking out community. The Bible tells us that we are not meant to walk through life alone, and the same is true for our spiritual journey. Finding a supportive community of fellow believers can help us feel connected and accountable, providing encouragement and support when we need it most.

As we seek to grow closer to God and cultivate our relationship with Him, let us remember that we are never alone. God is with us always, waiting for us to draw near to Him. May we find joy and peace in the knowledge that we are loved and connected to the One who created us.
